Return to Windows

January 25th, 2012 § 1 Comment

I started off with my first PC when I was 6 years old. I don’t remember much of it – but I know it was a Windows. I’d just use it for the encyclopaedia and Microsoft Word – so I could copy + paste my assignments! Boy have things changed! I used a desktop up until the end of high school – and then when I started uni I switched to a Mac. At first I was hesitant but my brother assured me that a Mac was the way to go. I got the Mac. and I loved it! I still do very much love my Mac! The only problem with my Mac is that I can’t play games! Well you can,  but it’s harder to download free games! Thus, I turn back to good old Windows.  I kind of missed it. Until the next day when I tried to open my google talk and open up games that it didn’t open!

I converted back to Mac, and ask the saying goes once you go Mac you never go back. That is true my friend! I can now go ahead and by colourful covers for my Macbook! (Not that I don’t have one already – but you can never have enough!) And keyboard covers and vinyl! YEAH THAT’S SOMETHING YOU CAN’T DO WINDOWS DESKTOP PIECE OF SHIT.

Yes, I’m just a little bit frustrated at the moment because I do need to use Windows for some statistics programs this coming semester!

Anyway, my rant is over!

Have a good day everyone!

I found that there’s a function on wordpress that allows you to read random old blog posts that you put up. So, being bored I did so and I came across a post. You can check that post out here (just scroll down to the comments written).

Anyway, I know I’m two and a half years late but here it is!

Replygasm

I assume it’s self explanatory, like most of my gasms. It’s actually quite a while since I added one! I’ll be sure to add this to my list soon!

Kudos to Jiaqi for coming up with it like 2 years ago…

Anyway, that will be all for now! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!

10 things that annoy me

January 18th, 2012 § Leave a Comment

So it’s been a while since I put up a proper blog. Too long. Well here’s one to kick start hopefully many more to come for 2012!

So I went to Melbourne over the weekend. It was pretty good. I can see myself living there but I’m actually not sure if it was because I’m just sick of Sydney. Well, I’ll make a verdict after a few more visits!

I was texting my friend in China last night and she was telling me how tumblr was even banned over there (in addition to Facebook and Twitter). I don’t understand all this communist censorship BS that’s going on over there. It must be really annoying!

Thus, I lay there in bed last night and came up with a list of 10 few things that annoyed me. Life cannot get more exciting guys.

  1.  Censorship in China
  2. Leeds United and their lack of quality players
  3. Justin Beiber
  4. Friday – The song not the day
  5. Sydney transport
  6. Julia Gillard’s face
  7. People and their constant need to publicise their life on Facebook
  8. People who make a mess when they use public toilets
  9. Lads
  10. The Kardashians

That is all for now.

I also started reading The Book of Awesome ased on a blog by Neil Pasricha! You can check it out here. So far so good!!

Also, another pointless fact that I might add is that UNSW is trending on twitter…..

Ok I’m done for now!

Hope everyone is having a good holiday (if you’re having one) or having a good week!!

I wish I could come up with a clever title.

I promise I’ll put a proper blog up soon! Who would have thought I’d have a life and no time to blog… Well actually no.. I got a new PS3 so I have just been playing that all day… and sleeping..

I finished a book the other day! Let me Call you Sweetheart by Mary Higgins Clark. It was a really good whodunnit. Reminds me of my HSC days when I did extension english!

Anyway, I’m headed to Melbourne this afternoon for 5 days! Hopefully it’ll be good! AND hopefully I’ll have something to write about when I get back!

Until next time!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
I had quiet an uneventful NYE. Starting to feel that as I get older the more lazier I get. I guess at the end of the day, it’s just another day! I feel no different than I did in 2011 – I know it’s only been less than 24 hours!

Anyway, I did go see the Coogee fireworks at 9pm. Here’s the best shot I managed to get off my crappy phone camera.

Welcome to 2012! This is just page 1 of a 366 page book!

2012 come at me bro!

So comes an end to 2011…

I cannot believe I am writing another one of these! I still remember the past ones I’ve written! So, the one which I wrote last year, (So comes an end to 2010) had with it a list of New Years resolutions.

I didn’t really accomplish all of it but I sure did come close! and I’ll keep pushing to become a better person and just be better in general! I’ve decided that this year I won’t set  up any new years resolutions. I’m not too keen in setting myself up for disappointment again. I hope that 2012 will be better than this year and I will try my best to make it better (excluding external factors).

This is my new favourite spot that I discovered this year! It’s in Vaucluse!

One thing I really hope for in 2012 is that Leeds United get promoted back to the English Premier League. I’ve been waiting for about 7 or 8 years! I don’t even remember anymore because it’s been too long!!  I don’t want to wait any longer!

Anyway, have a safe NYE everyone! I will wish you an early Happy New Year! :D May 2012 bring us happiness and great things! :)

Merry Christmas!

I’m glad that it’s Christmas, but I’m not glad that 2011 is coming to an end.  I don’t usually celebrate Christmas (and I’m not really celebrating it this year) but the festive season always gets to me!

This year marks the 6th year that I’ve gotten my photo taken with Santa with my friend Jess! Unfortunately, there was a new Santa! =( I love traditions regardless! 6 years and counting!

Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas!

Until next time! Merry Christmas!

2011 in a nutshell

December 13th, 2011 § Leave a Comment

I’m starting to find as I grow older each year, each year tends to go by quicker. 2011 is no different. I thought 2011 was going to be way better than 2010, but it wasn’t but hey, let’s hope 2012 can make up for that! :D

My friend, Natalia, recently started a blog so check it out here!

I usually like taking lots of photos of my friends around me. This year I haven’t really taken much – mainly because I have no friends :’( Only kidding, trying to juggle two jobs, uni and a social life is really hard. I think I compromised the last one.

Anyway, I’m currently waiting for my friends to wake up so we can go play basketball. That’s going to take a while so I went through all the photos I took this year!

First day of 2011 at Khao Yai, Thailand.

Wai Yih comes to Thailand

Ryan's 19th at Meat, Wine & Co.

I think we went to hotpot

Emiko's 20th!

Millie's farewell!

Vivid Lights

State of Origin - Game 2

Natalia's 20th

Amanda's birthday BBQ

Bavarian Bier Cafe

Lunch with (part of) the Psyclub!

It kind of ended there (in July), mainly because I didn’t really go out much last semester and when I did, I didn’t really take any photos. Hopefully there will be more before the end of 2011, if not then there will definitely be more in 2012! I know it! :D

I’M SO GLAD IT’S HOLIDAYS! I CAN SIT AROUND AND DO NOTHING ALL DAY!! YAY :D

Until next time!

R.I.P Gary Speed

I watched Gary Speed playing for Newcastle United as I was growing up. Number 11 Gary Speed making up the formation of the magpies midfield. He was one of my favourite players. Before he went to Newcastle United he had been a member of Leeds United. He was a part of the 1992 winning team that won the old First Division title (before it became the Premier League).  I am a massive Leeds United fan – Gary Speed was one of my sporting icons as I was growing up.

Over the past week tributes have been pouring in over the loss of a great footballer as well as a man just beginning his managerial career as head coach of Wales.  Speed’s sudden death has brought together so many mourning fans. A tribute at the Billy Bremner statue in front of Elland Road illustrates all of it – the effect Gary Speed had on the footballing world.

Watching tribute videos gives me chills (like the one above). It shows how fragile a life is and how it can easily be lost.  What a fitting tribute would it be to Gary Speed if Leeds were promoted! Fingers crossed!! Marching on together forever!

I’m going to sign off with a some photos I’ve seen posted on Facebook:

2012 New Years Resolution

December 2nd, 2011 § 2 Comments

I can’t believe it’s December already!!! How fast has the year gone!! It’s kind of scary isn’t it! I think I’ve come to realise that at this stage in my life I’m done growing up, I’ll just be growing old from here on out. That kind of sucks! But I know I’ll always be a kid at heart! I really don’t want to sleep right now. There’s something nagging me inside, I don’t know what it is so I’m trying to get rid of that feeling by watching a whole bunch of cartoons! :D

Anyway, this is about time of the year that I write my new years resolution! Always something to do on a Friday night!

1. Figure out what I want to do in life
2. Have fun. Make mistakes. Live life.

This is a short list. I usually come up with long ass ones that I never accomplish! So hopefully a short one will work for me!

And the countdown begins!
