I miss being in Year 6

I remember graduating from year 6! I was so so sad! I didn’t want to leave! But then high school was so much fun and then I didn’t want to leave that either! Now I just can’t wait to graduate from uni! Only 2 more years!

Also, kids these days… they’re so… I wouldn’t use the word slutty… (because they’re certainly to young for that.. I’d like to think) but they’re really… let’s just say not as conservative as us back when I was in year 6 in 2003. Plus, if my parents saw me wearing something like that I probably wouldn’t be allowed to leave the house until I was 16 or something.

That is all for now!

Until next time!

AND I SAY HEY!

Man, Arthur is my favourite cartoon of all time! I will never be sick of it! I am proud to say that I am up to date with it! I wish there were cartoons on for this generation up to the standard of Arthur! We had mad cartoons back then! The other day when I was over at work one of the kids were watching “In the Night Garden”….. Seriously do not get that show and how kids even like it.  It’s like a sesame street wannabe show.

Anyway, thought it’d be nice if I shared that with you for today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF AUTUMN!

So the summer went by pretty quick and the last day of summer (yesterday) was drenched. It was pouring down all day. What a way to end the summer eh.

Uni started on Monday and I have compiled myself some sort of a scavenger hunt list. Something mainly to keep myself occupied during the semester. Besides studying of course!

1. Meet someone called Jason (something that I was trying to do in my first semester at Macquarie but never really did find a Jason – I remember finding a Jack though)
2. Avoid eating kebabs at uni – unless I plan on having a heart attack anytime soon
3. Find another route that takes me from lower to upper campus whilst avoiding stairs – I have one route already but THERE IS SURELY ANOTHER ONE!!!

That is all for now.

PINCH AND A PUNCH FOR THE FIRST DAY OF THE MONTH =D

Goodbye GJs

So what better way to bid farewell to my first casual job then to write a blog about it! I started off at GJs in January 2007. I was 14 years old. It was my first job and I was super excited to start working. I remember my first shift. I remember that I had to delay starting because I cut my left toe open and couldn’t walk properly for a while. I used to work Saturdays and Sundays. It was great! I loved it but I eventually got sick of it and quit in March 2008. I went on with my life from then and completed my HSC.

After my HSC I was broke, not working for 2 years sure does take its toll on you! I got my job back at GJs and started in January 2010. Up until today. This time, for real, I quit. I know that I will never go back because I’ve been there for too long and it’s time to move on.

I will never the less leave with very fond memories mainly due to the people who I have met during my time there and I’m sure we’ll cross paths again in the future! :D

Return to Windows

I started off with my first PC when I was 6 years old. I don’t remember much of it – but I know it was a Windows. I’d just use it for the encyclopaedia and Microsoft Word – so I could copy + paste my assignments! Boy have things changed! I used a desktop up until the end of high school – and then when I started uni I switched to a Mac. At first I was hesitant but my brother assured me that a Mac was the way to go. I got the Mac. and I loved it! I still do very much love my Mac! The only problem with my Mac is that I can’t play games! Well you can,  but it’s harder to download free games! Thus, I turn back to good old Windows.  I kind of missed it. Until the next day when I tried to open my google talk and open up games that it didn’t open!

I converted back to Mac, and ask the saying goes once you go Mac you never go back. That is true my friend! I can now go ahead and by colourful covers for my Macbook! (Not that I don’t have one already – but you can never have enough!) And keyboard covers and vinyl! YEAH THAT’S SOMETHING YOU CAN’T DO WINDOWS DESKTOP PIECE OF SHIT.

Yes, I’m just a little bit frustrated at the moment because I do need to use Windows for some statistics programs this coming semester!

Anyway, my rant is over!

Have a good day everyone!
